KING OF THE ROADS. Public utility jeepneys (PUJs) are known in the Philippines as the "King of the Road" as they continue to be the primaru mode of public transportation. This time around, they showed that they can be "Kings of the Road" even without their PUJs as they staged a march-rally opposing the expanded value added tax, the continuosly increasing prices of petrolium products. Furthermore, they called for the resignation of Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo for her failure to alleviate the economic conditions of public utility drivers. Photos by Cordillera Peoples Alliance.
