National Minority Week Opening Ceremonies
People's Park, Baguio City
August 11, 2005

YOUNG STEWARDS OF CORDILLERA CULTURE. In defending the people’s land, life and resources, national minority groups of the Cordillera preserve their culture, which elders intend to pass on to the new generation of stewards of the Cordillera domain. Kalinga Students’ Association (KASA) perform the pattong and sagni while other young Igorots prepare the sacrificial pig during the opening of this year’s National Minority Week celebrations at the People’s Park in Baguio City.
