Poem: In contrast

< 1 MIN READ

By ALDWIN QUITASOL

They say we are squatters,
We say we are informal settlers.
They say we don’t own the lot and have no title in hand,
We say it is us who developed the land.
They say we have no right
We say it’s our right to fight.
They say we are nothing but a bunch of obstructions,
We say that our plight should be in the government’s obligations.
They say we are delinquent vagabonds,
We say we too are humans. #
