Baguio bares charter day awardees

BAGUIO CITY (Aug. 26) — Nine individuals and four groups will receive the city’s charter day awards during the 96th founding anniversary on Thursday, September 1.

The nine individual awardees recognized for their contribution to the development of Baguio City are Dr. Manuel Quirino for profession; Tan Sui Tong Candelaria for sports; Consul Carlos Teraoka for international understanding; Felix Eliral Refuerzo for journalism; Carlito Francia for arts and literature; Divina Bautista for arts and culture; Judge Fernando Cabato for public service; Dennis Sy for business and Edward delos Santos for community service.

Awardees in the group category are Baguio-Benguet Public Information Civic Action Group for community service; Good Shepherd Convent for business/social; Maryknoll sanctuary for ecological; and Baguio-Benguet Community Credit Cooperative for business/social. # Ramon Dacawi/PIO
