Fire razes duplex, cars

SAN JUAN, La Union — Three houses and two vehicles were razed by fire last May 30, at around 1 pm at brgy. Ili Norte, San Juan, La Union.
A duplex two-storey houses rented by Violeta Llanes and Arnel Miranda and another owned by Violeta Garcia were totally burned by the fire, which started from the second floor of Miranda’s residence. Both second floors were built with wood. The fire easily spread and burnt the houses which included the Garcia’s house.
A Toyota Corolla owned by Garcia and a BMW owned by Wilson Manalang were also included. While an abandoned Internet Cafe was also burned.
San Fernando City and San Gabriel Fire Stations, headed by F/Sr. Insp Samuel Abenes and F/Insp Ferdinand Formacion respectively, responded on the fire incident. The fire was put out at 2:15 in the afternoon.
No one was reported injured. Cause of fire and the total cost of damages is still undetermined, according to F/Sr Insp Abenes. # JDiaz
