Women's Front: Impugn the #1 protector, oust GMA!

For being the Number One protector of criminals in the country, from Garcillano to Bolante, to Palparan to Smith, we from INNABUYOG-GABRIELA believe that there is absolutely no more reason to trust Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.
GMA appeals to the Filipino people to stand by her move to transfer the custody of convicted US marine-rapist Daniel Smith to the US Embassy. She also asks the people to stand behind her administration’s alliance with the US government.
Shame on GMA for attempting to deceive us into thinking that the escape of Smith through her treacherous act is for the best interest of the people. With her administration’s pathetic attempts to cover up such blatant disrespect to our Constitution, she overlooked that what has become at stake is her own grip on power.
Under GMA’s direct command, her cohorts in Malacañang and in the (in)justice, foreign affairs and interior and local government departments conspired to commit this crime against the Subic rape victim and the people. Thus, Raul Gonzalez, Alberto Romulo, Ronaldo Puno, Chief Legal Adviser Sergio Apostol and Executive Secretary Eduardo Ermita are all principal to GMA’s crime. They have all betrayed the people.
GMA arranged Smith’s escape for the continued support of the US government for her unstable presidency, specifically for more military aid (as indicated by the prompt resumption of the Balikatan exercises once Sm-ith was sprung free), at the expense of our national sovereignty.
But no amount of support from the US government will secure GMA’s grip on power. This move has only exposed her desperation and her utter indifference to the demands of the people and to our own Constitution. She has given the people another reason to throw her out of office. #
